30 Hours Childcare

30 Hour tax Free Child Care: Reminder

Parents need to apply now for 30 hours free childcare for next term

We strongly encourage parents to apply by 30 November to get their code in good time for next term. They can find out more and apply at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

If they're already using 30 hours, they’ll need to confirm that their details are up to date every 3 months to continue accessing a place. They can do this through their childcare account: www.gov.uk/childcareaccount

You can find more information and resources – including FAQs, posters, handouts and email content – to support you in communicating with your parents on the provider page of the Childcare Choices website: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/providers

Tax-Free Childcare opens to children under 6

From 24 November 2017, parents whose youngest child is under 6 or who has their 6th birthday on that day can apply online through the childcare service. Tax-Free Childcare means parents get £2 for every £8 they pay in to their childcare account. Find out more about Tax-Free Childcare in the attached FAQ.

You can sign up now to receive Tax-Free Childcare payments from parents, at: www.gov.uk/childcare-provider-tax-free-scheme

If you’ve already signed up you don’t need to take any action.

Change in Weather

The weather is now becoming chiller and very wet as winter is now upon us.  Can you please make sure children have suitable coats as we all know what our British weather is like. Please make sure all changes of clothing in bags are suitable for the possibility of all weathers and pleased make sure they are named.  In addition can you please make sure they have a pair of named wellies, as we are an all weather setting so we are out come rain or shine.
